12 Gauge 2 3/4" Rock Salt and Pepper. The Rock Salt and Pepper round contains both rock salt and an Israeli Pepper Blast compound. This combination makes the round much more effective than the competition's regular rock salt. It is used for less than lethal force. Due to the light weight of the shot material, it should be used at distances of not less than 20 yards or more than 50 yards from your target. Upon target contact, the rock salt crystals will break the skin and create a stinging sensation and the pepper compound will burn like hell's fire. Perfect for home defense or animal control where you are looking for less than lethal. Rock Salt & Pepper 12-Gauge Blast Round

The proprietary formula in the Rock Salt and Pepper Blast makes for an extremely effective less lethal round. A lethal round is one that enters the target's body and makes contact with either the central nervous system or the circulatory system. Both stopping the brain itself and cutting off the supply of oxygen to it are potentially fatal results of bullet entry. To reduce collateral harm, less lethal shotgun shells have lower penetration. Their painful impact deters would-be assailants from continuing their attacks. In addition, even a less powerful shotgun bullet can result in significant trauma, including major bleeding, broken bones, and even death. Instead of "non-lethal," these bullets are "less lethal" (more on that in a bit).
