The Best Dragon Breath Ammo

Have you ever wanted a 12-gauge round that can travel upwards of 200 plus yards and on impact can burn the target at 5,000 plus degrees Fahrenheit? Well, we at Phoenix Rising have one of the most exotic and effective 12-gauge rounds available on the market, known as Dragon’s Breath which we have enhanced and call the Super Dragon. A regular 12-gauge round consists of different types of projectile layouts such as buckshot, slug, and usually birdshot. Most are very aware of the damage and ballistics that the three can inflict, but our Dragon’s Breath round is far superior in terms of round trajectory at long distances and leaves a burning desire to keep shooting more, even after the target is fully incinerated!

You can't go wrong with 12 gauge shotgun shells for self-defense or hunting. The pure one-piece lead projectile used in a shotgun is called a slug. They are the most potent shells ever developed for 12-gauge shotguns. This lack of dispersion unlike buckshot makes them tricky to aim accurately, but for the seasoned shooter, they are the optimal round for pure accuracy out of a 12-gauge shotgun. The most popular type of buckshot shell is an 8-pellet, 12-gauge 00 buck shell. Buckshot has two main uses: self-defense and hunting medium to large wildlife. For instance, 12-gauge 00 buck loads typically come with anywhere from 8 to 18 pellets, with possible lengths ranging from 2 3/4 inches to 3 1/2 inches.

Buckshot loads in a 12-gauge shotgun are adequate out to 60 or 70 meters, depending on the choke. However, for instance, the effective range of #00 buckshot in a cylinder-bore shotgun is 40-50 meters. Once you get outside that range, the pattern becomes too scattered to guarantee any type of accurate hit. Slugs are more effective than buckshot because they concentrate their force in a smaller area. This could be advantageous or disadvantageous, given that shotgun slugs tend to over-penetrate the target more than needed. Buckshot is more effective at short ranges, whereas slugs perform better at longer ranges.

Birdshot is available in a wide range of sizes, and it is often considered to be the most popular sort of 12-gauge shotgun cartridge. Small to the medium game can be effectively targeted with a 12-gauge rifle's wide range of shot patterns. When it comes to birdshot, the higher the number, the smaller the pellet. More pellets can be carried in a single load. Compared to buckshot, it has greater penetration since it uses a larger shot size and heavier pellets, although both shot sizes have roughly the same effective range.
